The Museum of the Vietnamese People’s Army, also known as the Vietnamese Military History Museum, is one of the most important museums in Vietnam. This is the place to display and preserve many valuable artifacts and documents related to the history of the formation and development of the Vietnamese People’s Army, as well as the wars of resistance against colonialism and imperialism of the Vietnamese people.

History and exhibitions
The museum was established on July 17, 1956 and has undergone many improvements and expansions to become one of the leading museums in the country.
The museum includes many different exhibits, including:
1. Indoor display area:
War of Resistance against the French (1945-1954): Displaying artifacts and documents from the War of Resistance against the French, including important battles such as the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
- Anti-American Resistance Period (1954-1975): Includes artifacts from the Anti-American Resistance War, including aircraft, tanks, and weapons used by the Vietnamese Army.
- Period from 1975 to the present: Presentation of the achievements of the People’s Army of Vietnam in the period of modernization and national defense.
2. External display area:
– Weapons and military means: These include aircraft, tanks, artillery, and many other military vehicles used by the Vietnamese People’s Army in wars.
- Monuments: There are monuments in honor of the heroes, martyrs, and unknown soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland.

The Vietnam People’s Army Museum is not only a place to store and display historical artifacts, but also a place to educate national traditions and the spirit of national pride for future generations. This is also a place that attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to visit and learn about Vietnam’s military history.
